Brendan McSweeney is Professor of Management at Royal Holloway, University of London, Visiting Professor at Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University and Member of the the Advisory Board, of the European, Middle East and Africa Division of YKK.
His research has been published in a wide range of scholarly journals including: Accounting, Organizations & Society; European Journal of Cross-Cultural Competence & Management; Human Relations; International Marketing Review; Journal of International Business Studies; Journal of Organizational Change Management; Organization Studies; Strategic Change; and The Political Quarterly. He has co-authored and edited a number of books including Remaking Management Practices: Between Global and Local (Cambridge University Press). He has contributed chapters to many books and written articles in non-popular media including national newspapers.
Prior to becoming an academic he worked in central banking, and commercial banking, venture capital, and was head of research for an international regulatory body. His current engagements include membership of the Advisory Board of the Europe, Middle East and Africa division of a large globally located Japanese company.
