Steve Smith has over 15 years marketing communications experience, providing strategic and tactical advice to businesses, whilst delivering key messages to multi-level targets (B2B, B2C and corporate).
As Head of Field Marketing for Schneider Electric across multiple zones, Steve has driven engaging and award winning content with strong collaboration between regional teams, businesses and communities to leverage consistent best practice and tangible value to businesses.
Steve won the prestigious global Schneider Electric PR award for best start-up and is a regular judge for the IPM (Institute of Promotional Marketing).
Steve’s background is firmly routed in Marketing, having gained a Bachelor’s degree in International Marketing, before going on to further study Sales and Marketing at the Normandy Management School in Caen, France. In his professional career, Steve is well known in the electrical and energy businesses, having previously held a position as Head of External Communication for Legrand Electric Limited (the global leader in wiring devices and cable management), before moving on to lead the UK, Ireland and subsequently Nordic and Baltic teams for Schneider Electric (a global specialist in energy management).
