Dipanjan Chatterjee is a Vice President and Principal Analyst leading Forrester’s branding practice. His focus is on conducting cutting-edge brand research and advising clients on strategies and best practices for developing and managing world-class brands. Prior to Forrester, he was a Senior Vice President at Y&R’s brand strategy practice, and also served as Chief Strategy Officer for a global boutique brand consultancy. Dipanjan’s extensive “ client-side” experience includes senior management product, marketing, and general manager roles at FedEx/Kinko’s and at a Berkshire Hathaway retail company. Earlier in his career, when he could get by with a lot less sleep, he worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and a strategy consultant at Booz & Co. Dipanjan has an MBA from the University of Chicago, where he focused on strategy and marketing. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in economics from Amherst College, where he was awarded a Ford Foundation grant, the James Nelson Prize in economics, and was nominated to the Phi Beta Kappa society. Dipanjan grew up in India, lives in the United States, and has worked extensively on-the-ground in Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
