Dr Bernal-Merino has been working non-stop in the Game Localization Industry as well as in Academia audiovisual Translation and Media Studies. He is a prolific author on game localization and entertainment media global promotion. Dr Bernal-Merino was instrumental in the creation of the LW Game Localization Round Table, the Game Localization Summit and the Media Across Borders Research and network. He is the chair of the IGDA Game Localization SIG. He holds a doctorate from Imperial College, he lecturers at the University of Roehampton in London, and he is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
